There are opportunities galore to support the Hall of Fame and the host of sporting luminaries past, present, and future honoured there. Committee members are knocking on doors throughout the London area this summer seeking sponsors, advertisers, and ticket buyers for the official induction ceremony and program coming up November 3 at the Carousel Room, Western Fair District.

On the honouree list this year are: Jeff Glass, London native, a Canadian Olympian, volleyball, and track star throughout his high school years and at the University of Western Ontario; June-Marie Provost, masters’ race walker and multiple-winner internationally and throughout Canada; Kylee Reade-White, outstanding lacrosse player and after several years of coaching in the U.S. college ranks, now head coach of the women’s lacrosse team at San Diego State University; and the late Harvey Bailie, a true behind-the-scenes legend in Canadian baseball circles, operating from his home base in Byron.

The night will also honour four yet to be named Spirit of Sport winners from the many deserving volunteer coaches and administrators in the area. Tickets for the event which features outstanding video productions of the Hall of Fame inductees are $50 each or $400 for a table of eight and will be on sale in early September via the Western Fair website (

Also featured is a souvenir program. Advertising in the program is a primary source of funds for the non-profit Hall of Fame organization. Rates are: $400 for a full-page four-colour ad; $200 for a half-page; $100 for a quarter-page; and $50 for a business card.
