- Born London, Ontario, June 4, 1938
- Attended Ealing Public School, and Beck and H. B. Beal high schools
- Began racing dragsters in 1962
- First Canadian to break 200 mph barrier, driving a slingshot dragster, “The Time Machine” in Deseronto on May 24, 1965
- Hit 233 mph in ¼ mile with an elapsed time of 6.89 seconds
- Talented engine and chassis developer
- Competed across North America and was a regular at drag strips in Windsor, St. Thomas, Grand Bend and Cayuga, winning over 120 events
- A 1997 inductee into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame
- Inductee into Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame – 2015
- Held speed record at Grand Bend Dragway for over 15 years
- First driver to go over 235 miles per hour at Windsor Dragway
- Won more than ½ of events he competed in
- Raced against many drag racing legends, including Don Garlits
- Was sponsored by Ford in the 1960’s
